Zazou is MISSING !!!!! **GOOD NEWS**

OMG, it is 11.20 pm, and my Zazou is missing... :eek: . She loves to be outside in the garden, so she often refuses to come inside for lunch, or whenever we call her. Today she went outside after lunch, and she didn't come back since. Bernard saw her running around 5 pm; one of our neighbours suddenly started to mow his grass (he has a very noisy mower). Zazou is extremely scared for noisy things, so she must have fled as soon as the noise started..... :eek: . We think she jumped over the fence in panic.... :( . We hoped she would return once all was quiet again, but she didn't; she even didn't come for her dinner.... :(
Poor Zazou, please come to our patio as soon as possible! Mommy put out some food and water for you there

Please pray that she finds her way back home..... ; She has an address-case on her collar; but I am afraid nobody will be able to pick her up, as she is so scared for strangers.... . Oh my, I don't think I will get much sleep tonight....

Oh My! This is dreadful! Poor baby being terrified of that noise and her running off out of fear. Poor Zazou! Lets just hope she didn't keep running until she could no longer hear that dreadful noise, but hid under something where she felt safe and is close to home.

Cats tend to dive into the nearest safe looking place when they are frightened, she's probably not far away at all but is too scared to move from her safe spot. Fingers and claws crossed that you find her soon.

It is 2.35 am now. I cannot sleep at all; I keep seeing her sweet face all the time :( . My biggest fear is now that she fled and tried to hide in some shed or open garage. Our neighbours let their garage door open all day today, packing all kind of stuff into their cars. They are going on vacation and will be leaving in the middle of the night (or they are gone already!). What if Zazou ran into that garage? It even has an attic where she can hide.... :eek:

Poor sweety, she will be so scared out there... ! I would love to ask the "Prayer Dogs" to open a line with heaven.... . Their prayers always do wonders...

I am drinking hot milk with honey now; normally I fall asleep immediately after drinking that... :rolleyes:

My hubby says it is my fault; I should have come outdoors to catch her before she could run away. Yeh, sure, how the heck could I have known that this neighbour would decide to mow his grass? I how could I know what was going on in her little head????

Try the food and calling softly - she was badly spooked and will hear your voice and maybe see her friends, smell her food.

SHE IS BACK!!!

I was walking in the garden this morning while the others were still sleeping. Then all of a sudden, I heard a familiar sound: a kitty-bell! It was Zazou! When I called her name, she went back under the bushes, as she was afraid that meowmie might be angry.... . Then I sat down on the bench and waited for her to trust me.

Finally, ten minutes later she came closer, meowing to me. I was able to pick her up and bring her indoors. Oh my, she was sooooo hungry, my poor baby :( . When her tummy was well filled, she headed towards her favorite bed and slept for at least 3 hours.... :D .

I sure wonder where she has been hiding all night; she sure didn't get much sleep because she was so tired when I found her!

After she had her long nap this morning, my hubby let her out again to play with the others. It was 11 am then. Guess who didn't come home for lunch???? :rolleyes: . Lut, I'm glad I didn't see this until now that Zazou is back. What a scare you had! :( I know exatcly how you felt, I've been wandering around in the yard lookin for Fister too in the middle of the night. Isn't it amazing how they can make themselves invisible!

Shaking the dry food, I find, only works if Fister is really hungry ... which is always way past my bedtime.

Dear Zazou, I'm so happy that you found your Meowmie and you're back with your hoomins and fur sisters. They love you very much and were so worried about you. Please, don't ever run away like that again!!! When something scares you, the safest place to be is home where you'll be protected from the scary things. I see that your Meowmie is putting you under house arrest for a day. You're getting a much lighter sentence than what you would get in Cat Court. You're so lucky to have a nice garden to play in. I hope you have already apologized to your Meowmie and Pawpie for doing that. Learn from this and don't EVER run away again, okay?
