My kitties are always finding some new place to hide, leaving me frantic searching for them! Often, they're just under my nose!!:D

We do "Cat Checks" at times, just to make sure all the cats are not stuck in some closet, or one of our bedrooms.
We have one bedroom as the Cat's Room. I go in the room to refill food and water, and to clean the litter boxes, and vacuum every so often. We have a kid gate on the doorway, so none of our dogs can get in.

My cat would always get stuck in the attic. My husband keeps his reloading kit up there and when he goes up there to reload he sometimes forgets to lock the door when he comes back down. I always check it when my husband is done.
Like Fuzzy, we also have a cat's room with the gate on it to keep the dogs out. We go in and feed, clean litter boxes and vacuum. We recently put in a pool table so Fawn is going to have to share now. ;)

I told you all a month or so ago about Mimi disappearing and I found her closed up under the kitchen cabinet!
I've also had them get locked up under the house before when the HVAC guy comes to clean my filters! I always ask him to check, but he invariably forgets and I have to do a head count, just to make sure!
One day, my doorbell rang and it was my neighbor from across the street, Frank, who is deceased now. He looked frantic! He said "where's Helen? I need Helen". Turned out he thought Mimi was in his basement and she had scared him to death! It was indeed Mimi, and I would have never thought of looking for her there if she hadn't come home! :) You just never know about those sneaky kitties!!! :)

Welcome to pet talk cool_cats_house. I hope your kitty is ok from his basement experiment. My poor Katie girl was accidently locked in my bedroom cupboard for the whole day. Needless to say, i heard about it from her when i opened the door from hearing her meowing. Boy did i get kitty heck for at least a good five minutes. I'm telling you i could'nt apologize enough to her. I make sure i don't do that again.

When Storm was still an only cat, he got locked in my bedroom for probably most of the day. I got home late and heard this loud meowing and banging noise. I use a door stop to keep my door open and he must have knocked it loose and then the door shut behind him. My roommate at the time thought that I wanted him locked up in my room so even though she heard his cries she didn't do anything. Pepper got locked in my roommates bathroom a couple of times. He wasn't in there very long though because I heard him meowing. Sunny got locked in my roommates bedroom. He must have been in there for a couple of hours before I heard him yowling.

Your poor baby....
We do cat checks several times a day. Ms Milo got stuck in the garage once when dh went out to the freezer to get something. Luckily it wasnt for long....
I also worry about one of them sneaking outside or getting stuck in a closet or locked in a bathroom...
Yesterday the wind blew shut the cats bedroom door. I wondered where they were hiding. I heard headbutts and scratching on the door.... woooops
