First, has Clyde been checked for a UTI or other problem? I'd check with a vet first on this.
Second - use a cat repellent...anything from cedar chips (scent).
Also - is he neutered (I assume yes)? If NOT, then you will need Nature's Miracle or another enzyme deodorizer to get all the smell out of your bedding.
Even if he IS neutered, might not be a bad idea anyway....Find out the dliution for your washer, turn on the agitator for a minute or two - and just let the stuff SOAK for the recommended period.
Let us know how this works out!

Have you simply washed the sheets or did you also use an enzymatic cleaner as well? He'll continue peeing where he smells his pee. You need somethign like Nature's Miracle to remove all the particles of pee so that he no longers smells he's been there. Do you have a rubber sheet under your sheet? There's something about rubber that makes cats pee. Allen can't resist the rubber backed bathmats.
My first inclination is exactly what Catty said: is he neutered and has he been checked for a urinary problem? Belive me, for years I swore Allen was a behavioral peer.... and he only pees when he has an infection (like he does right now) I thought I knew my cat, but cats hide infection and illness very well.

catnapper, you just help me without even knowing it! I have a peer too and I have been putting down rubber backed rugs to save the carpet...

OMG   NOW I know why Tabitha was peeing on the bathmat, until I removed all of the rubber backing! (Thanks Catnapper!)
My Tabitha onlly peed on thebed once, and the next day her appointment was made for her spaying! She backed right up against my arm and peed all over me and the bed! Since she was "fixed", there have been no other problems.
Hope you can get this taken care of soon.

Has he ever been an outdoor cat? My mom's cat Lillie scratches at the door when she needs to go, we let her outside to do her business. The litterbox is foreign territory to her. Good luck on solving your problem.

We pray that you can stop him, as that sadly sounds like a deal breaker, as there are not many people who will tolerate a dirty Cat.
