Update on Benny

Well, after the "clear stool" incodent, me and my boyfriend took Benny to the Animal Emergency Hospital. We told the vet everything and that he's been sick on and off for about 2 1/2 weeks. We also told her that he's seen 2 different vets and been 5 times in that time and no one has ever told us whats wrong with him other than a cold. After examining Benny and a sample of his stool, she came to the conclusion it could be some parasites in his lower intestine. Benny was given fluids under the skin, a shot, and he is on 4 different medicine twice a day. She also said that it could be something worse that is fatal> I'm not sure what the name of it is. I'm supposed to bring him back in 5 days to see how he is doing. I need some strong prayers out there that this is not serious. He's my pride and joy and I don't know what I would do if I lost him.
On a happier note, he's finally eating again and he's a bit more active this morning! Thanks for all your help guys! Me and Benny are grateful for the prayers and support!!:)

Praying hard for Benny! Please take him immediately to the vet again if you see anything abnormal between now and when he goes in for a follow up visit.

I would contact your regular vet and let them know what the emergency vet found out. Sometimes when they realize they missed the diagnosis completely, they are more attentive to your dog. :(

Well Benny's been off of his medicinefor 2 days and he's doing fine. This has happend the past 4 times though, so we have our fingers crossed. thanks for all the responses!
