Yesterday it was a beautiful day out so the shelties and I decided to go and visit my cousin and his dogs near Carseland Alberta.

Since it was so hot out we decided to walk the dogs down to the river. Of course I had my camera ready...

Since it was so hot out and there was no shade I had to make sure the shelties were keeping cool.... so my cousin and I gave them swimming lessons.

Now for Em's turn. At first she made the mistake a lot of dogs who aren't natural swimmers make. She tried to reach out and climb on top of the water. You can see her foot reaching out of the water. She got the hang of it after a couple tries.

Love the pictures of all the dogs and people too. Looks like everyone had a good time - well, it doesn't look like the shelties were very happy about the swimming part. Overall, though I think a great day for everyone!
