Not only all that, but Sunny's obviously got one heck of a sense of humor. I sure do wish I knew what he was laughing at. I'd like to share in the joke. Or did he witness a mishap? One that he caused, perhaps?
That would be funny! I bet he was proud, too.

Sunny, yesterday my life was full of rain. Suuuuuunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain. Now my dark days are done and the bright days are here. My Sunny one is so sincere. Sunny one so true, I love yooooou.

Well guess what everyone, I am Sunny's owner and today is my BIRTHDAY, so this makes it even more special that my Sunny is the Cat of the Day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) But I already knew that. He was actually taking a bath when I snapped that picture but it sure does look like he was laughing.

I know that the picture caught Sunny yawning, but it looks to me like he is laughing at something. A great picture of a "laughing cat! " Congratulaions to you Sunny for being our friendly COTD. We all enjoy looking at your smiling face.:)
Daisy; "When Sunny Gets Blue" is an "old" jazz standard, written in the 1950s', I think. Of course many of the popular progressives of that period have recorded it, such as Moon Mulligan and Thelonius Monk, I hadn't thought of that one for a long time.:D I'm not sure who wrote it or who first performed it, but it does have a beautiful melody.

Sunny is just gorgeous and I agree with Spencer, one of the best pics I've seen....Those sweet, affectionat orange tabbies - gotta lov'em!
Given we are experiencing something like the MIdwestern Monsoon Season lately, it's good to see a little "Sunny" weather for a change!!

It's wonderful that a great kitty like Sunny found the perfect home. But don't give up on your white persian. A few months ago, the COTD was a little yogurt eating tabby female that was stand-offish for six-years? And she finally started getting affectionate. I have a male cat that I trapped and got neutered, and he roamed outside for a year before I could touch him. Keep loving on both your kitties.

Wayne: When it comes to "old standards" I guess I'm still a whippersnapper!!! (Didn't realize the Johnny Mathis version was just a cover of the original!)
Lynne: I knew I was going to get the lyrics wrong when I tried in vain to recall the song from memory--my mom had an album of Johnny's greatest hits, and would play the record incessantly on weekends back before I even began first grade (this was the early seventies).
Uh-oh, I'm having a flashback...looks like "Johnny's Greatest Hits" has a couple of other songs that apply to our COTD Sunny:

Hi Everyone..thanks for all the comments on how cute my Sunny boy is. He is so loveable and such a good boy. We had some sleep issues when he was younger but he seems to be doing so much better now. Also thanks for all the birthday wishes. What a great present to see my boy on the COTD.
