Now I know this is going to be a silly question..but do any of u cat lovers have window seats for your cats? I know most of you do ;) If u could..post some pics of the window seats (maybe with your lovely cat in it). I'm wanting to buy one for Jenna, b/c she loves looking out the windows. All the ones that I have looked at online are fairly expensive. Thanks a bunch!!!

I ordered a couple of nice seats form my LTD Commodities book at work. They were only about $10.00, if I remember correctly. They have a weight limit of 18 pounds (and Sasha is pushing that!).

I don't have any pictures for you, but I can describe them. They have a soft cover, and the board attaches to the window and there are braces that lean against the wall. Both of my girls were not interested in them.... until I put some nip on them and then they realized they are GREAT for laying in the sun!

You can look them up online.... www.ltdcommodities.com. You have to have an account, but you can create one. They say you have to buy in lots of 3, but you don't! You do have to be careful about the shipping and handling as sometimes the rates can be outrageous.... depending on the weight of what you are ordering.

I looked all over before orfering these, and found they were the best price. Good luck!

This is a baby changing table I found at the Goodwill store for about $25 and you can see what a hit it is with my babies.

A cheaper way to go is to make one yourself. This picture don't show it good but I went and bought a 1 X 12 inch board, had them cut it for me for the height and size I wanted and put it together myself with nails, covered it with some padding and fabric. It isn't sturdy enough to use as a bench for humans but for my babies, it works out wonderfully..

Look at yard sales and used stores and use your imagination and I bet you could come up with a great idea once you think in "CAT FURNITURE" mode..

I built one, but the pics are probably too big for the bb. The legs are 2 2x4s bolted together, x 2. The top is an old piece of pine, about 6 inches wide and screwed into each 2x4 in each leg. Another 2x4 is 8 or 9 inches from the bottom (it is above the electric heater) with 2 bolts in each side, for support to the legs. Feet can be cut from a wider piece of pine; I wanted to have semicircles, but I couldn't find circular pieces anywhere. A 1x1 is between the legs but supporting the "tabletop."

I then tied carpet samples around each leg and the 2x4 support toward the bottom so both vertical and horizontal scratchers are happy. It was VERY simple; Lowe's cut the wood to size before I could've even fired up my saw, and it's custom-fit to the window and the heater. CHEAP too!! :)

The Contractor and I built some on the enclosed Porch so the Found Ctas can all sit in the Sun.
Nothing is too good for the Ctas.
And some are just boards with a soft cover.
They are not hard to make at all.
Look in your hardware store for shelving units , they work well for Cats.

Since I have 5 cats and several are heavy I decided to make something sturdy for them to look out the office window. This is it. The bottom shelf is more of a step for my short legged cats Scout and Rumor but sometimes I'll find one sleeping there. They love the top shelf and I've since made a pillow for it so it's extra soft. They all love it and sometimes will get in a fight over it so I guess she should have made it big enough to fit the whole window.

My cats are allowed one 1 of the kitchencupboards. It is a great look-out point for birds! This is our RB-Sydney
