Does anyone have a wet kittie pic they'd like to share? whether it be from rain, bath or you soaking them with a squirt bottle when they're naughty, post 'em up :D

this is abby...after a bath...he does NOT look happy... :p

and this is coral, my sisters cat...she doesn't look happy either...whoever determined cats don't like water must've given his cat a bath, if i had a picture of the gash on my arm from this particular situation....
i don't have any pics of angel wet tho, after her bath she just kinda hid for awhile, and being a longhair, i inevitably had to wrap her in a towel and hold her to dry her off, as she was shivering, mad, and still wet like 5 hours after her bath, my poor baby. which was long after the camera was put away.

I always thought that you weren't supposed to bath a cat unless they have something on their coats (like oil or something that needs to be washed off) as this takes the natural coating off the fur which protects them?
My cat is 13 years old and has never had a bath. :)

My cat gets a bath 3 times a year. It gets the dead hair out (less shedding, no problem with hairballs) and gives his scalp a good cleaning. He is so clean and fluffy afterwards that even though Cocoa Kitty doesn't like the water, I think he fells better when he's dry.

My cats hate to be washed! I am also against it, but when Zazou brought ringworm with her from the shelter, I had to wash all cats 4 times!!!

When Peppito was a kitten, he used to play with foam on the edge of the bath. And one day, he felt in the water! :D I have a picture, but it's a paper one and I have no scanner, too bad!

There are some cats that like showers. Mine are intrigued by water, but don't want to get a bath. They like to play bathtub stopper hockey. Bathtubs are good for that. Maggie (RB) used to kitty skateboard in the tub.
Mr. Spunky fell in the tub once. It was a deep tub. I also happened to be in the tub at the time. It was hilarious. He kept trying to get across to the non-existent ledge on the other side and this time I didn't stop him.
Fortunately, he has a very thick coat and only his legs got wet. What was so hilarious? Instead of panicking and scratching the daylights out of me, he doggy-paddles and turns and looks at me with a look that said, "Moms, what do I do next?"
I scooped him out of the water and he went and sat in front of the furnace. I was howling by this time.
He was so disgusted with the whole adventure he wouldn't even let Sams help him dry off. I did dry him off and he was still disgusted with me.
Spunky and Sams go to the groomers once or twice per year. They smell better, get their claws trimmed, ears cleaned, and what not. I can bath one of them and then the other disappears for hours and avoids me like the plague when he does come out. It might be two or three days before I can catch the other one. Groomers are far easier.

yes, yes ive been called crazy many a time...it never ceases to be a compliment :D....has anyone ever noticed how TINY cats are after they're all wet, especially long hairs? so LITTLE in all their wet misery... with angel being so long haired, you'd never guess there was a cat under all that fur, and when the fur is plastered down to their sides there BARELY is a cat there!!hehehehehe....:p
oh yeah and thanks for the compliment on coral, i will have to relay the compliment to my sister, she is quite beautifully colored, especially dry, if i must say so myself...and yes, abby is abysinthe, my boy kitty :D
LOL!
Chuck also has to stick both front paws in his water bowl when he drinks

Gina, great pictures! I know you must have been very tired afterwards, but your cats are beautifully groomed and cleaned. My cat needs extra pets and brushing after a bath to regain his dignity, and I usually need a shower myself with all the soapy water and wet cat hair that collects on me.
