We're taking Georgia to Saqouia Lake today [don't worry, I'm taking my camera ;) :p ] and I really want her to swim, but she won't actually swim, she'll go in the water until it's too deep for her to touch and then she won't go any more. Is there any way I could get her to swim without getting wet myself?

Does she like to retrieve, thats a simple solution :p Jack hates retrieving things but I taught it like a trick and if I throw something and tell him to bring it to me he will, so thats usually what I do. He enjoys swimming though, but just for the heck of it.

For the other dogs throwing little pieces of treats into the water usually works. But I use this to try and get them to go into the water, if she doesn't want to swim and is only comfortable going in to where she can touch I wouldn't force her to go past her comfort level, but thats just me.

Good luck and have fun!

I wouldn't let her go in without me going in, at least not the first time. What if she got in trouble? I would look at it like not letting a kid go in by theirselves the first time.
