Our kittens are now 8 mo. They have both grown very nicely! They both still have soft stools a few times a week and almost every poop of Kade's has a little bright red blood around a part of it. They are neg for Feline Leukemia and Aids. They have been treated for every paracite, worm ect. We have switched foods from Science Diet to Eukanuba to Nutru to Iams. They seem to be the best on the Iams Kitten. They have been on it for a couple months now. OUr vet is now having us try a new product she discoved at a vet conference called fortiflora- it is a powder to put on their food. For the first few days poop seemed normal but Kade just had a messy poop with blood. Only once about 3 wks ago it didn't make it all the way in the box other than that everything is normal except the softer stools and a little blood. I am soooo sick of talking about poop! The kittens eat well, play, they are active chasing each other around, they sleep and groom each other, our fantastic vet is at a loss too. I have exhausted searches on the internet and they never have any of the other symptoms associated with diseases ect that cause soft poop with blood. HELP!

See jenlukenbach's posts about Lucas in Cat General. She has had really good luck with canned pumpkin. And some Metamucil, but she started with just the pumpkin.

Are there any bits of stuff around that your kitten might swallow?? That's the only other thing I can think of!

Try the pumpkin and good luck - they are still young enough that they might like it, and form a good habit.
