I'm in complete shock. My fur cousin, Dixie is gone. One second she was here, we left the dogs in the (completely fenced) yard and went to dinner. My mom was here with the dogs and ran in to get the phone and two seconds later heard the car screech. Dixie jumped the fence, hit by a truck and died within five minutes, before my mom could even get ahold of the vet :( :( And this was 10 minutes after we left for dinner, my Aunt was on her way to an agility trial with her 2 girls, and now went home to bury her baby dog :( I cannot believe it...it isn't real... my Aunt doesn't have any kids, the dogs ARE her LIFE. :( And to top it off, we discussed during dinner Dixie's new boyfriend and the waiting list for her babies, she was the last intact of my Aunt's line.

I know I have a couple pictures of her...I just need to find them.

Rest easy Dixie Chick, you were my favorite little fur cousin, and I am so sorry that you had to leave us so soon :( (and I'm going to start crying again!) You will be deeply missed little girl :(

I need to go hug one of my guys now :(

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dixie Girl. What a terrible day for you and your aunt. I know it won't take away the pain, but know that Dixie is at the Rainbow Bridge having the time of her life, and just waiting for the day when her 'mommy' will meet her there and take her on never-ending walks! She is a beautiful girl.
