Here is a picture of my dog, Foxy Jean, who passed away on Dec. 22nd, 2005.
I am really having a hard time , adapting to her absense in this house. She was by my side constantly.
I need to share her with all of you at Pet Talk.
Thank-you for your kind response, I owe each and every one of you my graditude for helping me cope with her death.

Dot,Foxy Jean has those eyes that are so deep that when you look at her you can see into her soul.Doggies with eyes like Foxys are so loving.I bet she would get up close to your face and stare at you.Theres something about a doggie with those deep brown eyes.
I wanted to tell you all that this day has been alot better on Diane and myself and we owe it to you guys here. The things you share and the loving words have got us off the bed and comb our hair.....
Thank you ,,,,, Bob+Diane

Foxy Jean was such a sweet looking dog.I too know how empty life
seems after the loss of our dearest furry friends. :( Almost unbearable.
I believe that's why God sees to it that another dog comes along that
needs us as much as we do them. :)

Yes.
Foxy Jean did stare at me, expecially when I woke up in the morning. She would gently use her front paw to wake me up, I knew she had her face real close to me then. If I did not open my eyes, she would lay back down, but heaven forbid if I did open my eyes!! ha ha ha!!! Dig, Dig, Dig, lick, lick, lick!!!!
She talked to me with her own sounds. There was no way to avoid giving into her demands. She was with me all the time and, now I look for her in every room . I would look at her and ask her, "What do you want"? then she would do a bark instead of that low "woof" Oh my Lord, that dog had such a beautiful personality.
She so behaved like Toto, you know, that terrier on The Wizard of Oz.
Thanks-To all of you --I can begin to say her name outloud again.
Thanks to all of you, I can face tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow.

Foxy Jean was a gorgeous girl!!!!! What adoring love you can see in her eyes! Remember all the good times you had with her and smile, through your tears. Is there some thing that Foxy Jean used to do that was cute or funny that you can share with us? Hugs.

I tried to learn how to play a harmonica when my two dogs were with me.
I did learn how to play one song, amid their howling.
From time to time, I would get the harmonica out and faintly play a single note. Foxy Jean would tip her head back, ever so slightly, and woo me with a very high pitched , soothing howl.
She knew where the treats and dog chewies were kept. (inthe the cupboard under the sink) When I was not giving her the attention she wanted, she would insist that I give her something by trotting up to the cupboard and slamming her front legs against it. I wasn't surprised when she learned how to open it by herself and get things on her own.
She also reacted to the sound of a barking dog on the television, as well as sirens, babies laughing or crying, or adults crying. My husband had to say, It's aT.V. dog before she would stop barking. She often put her front feet on the television screen in reaction to a children's program, cocking her head.
Thank-You for encouraging me to relive these pleasent memories again. I am still in shock , and it has been 6 months since she left us.
Pet of the Day is such a boost for me at the beginning of each day.
Much grief work ahead I am sure, yet, I'll get by with a little help from my friends at Pet Talk.

Dot when you were talking about Foxy Jean I could picture her and I laughed,I had to tell about Jeb.He loved the animal channel on TV.The Dog shows were his favorite.Jeb could pick out a dog,cat in movies.I have seen a few dogs that do this.He loved ESPN on Sat morning,If a dog was running Jeb would run up to our big 66in TV and run with then...
Diane wants to have some cereal....Bey you guys..Bob

Foxy Jean sounds like she was such fun!! They really know how to make us laugh. My Killian used to howl when the sirens on Cops was on. Shiloh used to "try" to howl. She was hilarious. It was part howl, part bark, part yelp! (Boy, do I miss that.)

Hi, i am Coles mom. thank you for your posts. i am sorry for your loss. i feel it as well. Cole used to howl if I did not answer the phone fast enough. your harmonica story made me think of that, cole would start howling ,then the other 3 furbabies would join in. Foxy Jean was very lucky to have had you in her life.

Thank-you for that gentle HUG!!!! Bless you for teaching me that Foxy Jean was lucky to have me as well.
I will light a candle , again , this Monday Night, thinking of Foxy Jean, of Cole too!!!! and for all the Pet Talk dogs that have gone to Rainbow Bridge. Thank-You for posting that picture of Cole for me. It helps me heal, to know that Cole howled if you did not answer the phone in time. It helps me laugh again I suppose.
Pet Talk is a wonderful therapy. It is free for the taking. But we all know that nothing in life is actually FREE. Now we know the penalty for falling head over heals in love with a wonderful DOG. Our heart breaks , we stumble through the mess left behind, we see their belongings , their dishes, and we remember those last days .
I will help you remember Cole in the way you need to. You have helped me remember my Foxy Jean in the way I need too as well.
Thank-You for caring !!!!!

Kathy my friend,
Rusty and Goofy send huge wet kisses to you! Rusty lays his head gently across your lap and looks into your eyes telling you how much your love meant to Foxy, Goof does her silly furball dance to show how that Foxy dances to wind music "singing " for you. I and Jasper hug you and tell you how appreciated you are by furries and by us and our family.

Oh BOB, What would Dorothy39 be doing today if not for YOU!!!!
My buddy, my big brother in Phoenix, Arizona!!!!! I can't thank you enough for your sincere kindness and understanding. I'm dealing with her absense , day by day.------- tending to the garden I planted over Foxy Jean and Katie Lynn. , which has helped me a great deal!!!!! I need to get back into my daily exercising. , like wise, keeping up appearances!!! I finally made an appointment to have my hair cut. , ---Thanks to Pet Talk, I can laugh again, sing again, dance again, and, of course, write(type) to a real audience, instead of entering another day of doom in my grief journal., or, keeping my sense of humor hidden from view!!!!
Thank-You for lifting me "out" from that heavy sprial notebook!!!!

I never expected to see replies on the Foxy Jean thread!!!
Rusty and Goof Ball have given me such a nudge today, as, I can imagine his chin on my lap!!!!!! as well as her furball "dance".
Your reference to Foxy, dancing to wind music, "singing" to me , made me cry. Oh, don't get me wrong Dr, you gave me some good medicine with that line!!!!! ;)
Hugs to you , every one of you!!!!!!

My Dear Foxy Jean: :( I have to LET GO!!!!
I can see that your thread , in the Dog Memorial Forum is sinking toward the bottom. Foxy, you are still in my heart ( You Pet Talk people are awesome!!!)
But, I have to tell you!!!!
I was listening to a Ray Charles song on the car radio yesterday, and I cut me down to size!!!
You all know that song, Georgia On My Mind!! I had to turn the radio off!!
Foxy, Fooooxxxy,
The Whole day through,
Just an ol Sweet Song, Keeps Foxy on my mind----
I'm sayin, Foxy, Fooooxxxy,
A song of you----
Comes as "sweet and clear", as moon light through the pines.
Other Dogs reach out to me, other eyes smile tenderly,
Still, in peaceful dreams I see, the Road, Leads back, to YOU.
Thank-You , for helping me laugh and sing and smile again!!!!!!!! ;
Here is a picture I took of my Foxy Jean , in 2004, headed for her favorite store, Soldans!!!!! I am hurtin so bad today , Please give me a gentle hug!!! :(

Foxy Jean looked such a sweety and it must have hurt then and more than likely now.
She had one of those faces that just by looking at you she could express all she had to say to you...and if its anything like me,that not being there left a hole likea void.
She will be with you forever and i guess the thing that we need to hang on to is, ''the good times you had''
hugs to you :)

Yes, you must submit Dorothy! :) We all have banded together on this and we all have made it. So many heartbreaks and so many new beginnings here at Pet Talk. I too, don't know what I would have done with out all of you.
Sometimes the people you know in 'real life' just don't get it. People here, all of us, are here for the same reason, love of our pets. :D So we start out a new year soon, better armed to face it, knowing we have the support we need! ;)

My story won't mean much to maybe a few if that.Last June my heart was broken.I should be all better by now, Thier was a little man in my life, his name was JEB.Diane and I belonged to JEB.I know Diane tryed to remove alot of things that I didn't have the heart to deal with. But I keep finding things of Jebs.I found his tags still unopened. So his tag went on my keyring.
I am looking for this mortal by the name of Dot.At one time she needed a few king words.Well I find myself in the same position.
Some of the medicine I take is not helping.,I will leave that for another forum. But for now I need my ol friend Dot Feelgood.I am hoping Dot said she would try to help me sometime.Dot come running...Bob

To those I love; When I am gone, just release me ,let me go-so I can move into my afterglow. You mustn't tie me down with your tears;lets be happy that we had so many years.I gave you my love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness.I thank you for the love you have shown, but now its time I traveled on alone.
So grieve for me awhile,if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted with trust. Its only for a while that we must part,so bless the memories within your heart. And then, when you must come this way alone,I greet you with a smile and a Welcome Home
I found this I a journal that I had several years ago.I enjoyed it then as I do now.
