Are your pets afraid of thunderstorms or do they just ignore them?

Teddy doesn't even notice them.

Luka is terrified of them, the others could care less.

I voted only the really bad storms cause snugges usually could care less unless it is really dark. When they happen at night though she curls up right next to me as if she is just making sure I am still there! :p

LOL AWWWW

It's funny actually cause I am the one afraid of thunderstorms in this house. When I was younger I had a miniature schnauzer and it was like a race to see who got to my mom's room first after the first crack of thunder :D

I have never had a pet afraid of storms! My SIL had a shepard mix, that had to be sedated if there was a storm!! If she wasn't sedated she would tear the house apart!!!

I love thunderstorms! The lightning and the thunder excite me. Not many in my family like them though. :)

YES!! They terrify Tinky and Jupiter. They make a mad dash to get under the bed during storms..

I'm scared of them too. So much for them being my comforting heroes!! :p

Sasha has to bark louder than the thunder rumbles. She will even want to go outside on the deck, where she turns in a circle and barks at the sky. If it's particularly noisy then she tries to crawl under my skin. Poor doggie.

I wouldn't say any of mine are scared, but Murph and Oz prefer to be in the house, when it's thundering. Gull and I will usually play a lil' frisbee if it's far enough away, with Oz barking at us to get our crazy selves in the house where it's safe. Once we're inside and his duty's accomplished, he relaxes though.

Ethan is absolutely terrified of them. Even the small ones send him running to his "safe spots" to shiver in fright.
Skylar is only afraid of the larger ones, and all he wants to do is sit in someone's lap and bury his head in their arms.
Frisk doesn't even act like he notices them as long as he's with someone. If he's alone on the sunroom or something, he'll come running to me as if he's asking me if I know there is a storm here^^. Then he calms down.
The cats appear to ignore them.

Nala is terrified to the point she makes herself sick sometimes.

We have to FORCE her outside to potty after storms.

Simba & Kiara don't care.

Sierra sleeps through storms and Buddy tries to jump through doors and windows. :( I used to give him Aceproamizine (sp?) but had to keep upping the dose and it was starting to affect his breathing so now he takes Valium.

Mine don't even notice them because I have NEVER made a big deal about them. To the dogs, its just something else going on but nothing to be feared. I never coddled them or babied them during thunderstorms, so they don't even know they should BE afraid of them.

Nope, never had an animal that was. We are a family of storm chasers though so more often then not the dogs are out with us. Autumn does prefer to have a raincoat when she goes out in the rain. She wait for me to put it on before going out.

Lol..I voted for the "Yes, always" option and didn't even see the "some aren't, some are" option until I voted and that's the one I should've voted for.

Tango is absolutely terrified of any loud noises or weather changes, so yes, she's afraid of thunderstorms...I'm not really sure why, as we've done nothing to make her this way but I think it may be in her genes because her mom aswell as her littermates are all afraid of everything she is too.

The others coudln't care less, they're fine.

Kodie could care less but Lucy gets a little bit scared.

Lady is currently hiding behind Jen (LOH) as we have thunderstorms in NY, so I would say yes, she is afraid of thumperboomers.

We just had some horrible storms go through and the thunder and lighting were non-stop. Bella and Ripley were up on the sofa looking out the window at the lightning and barking at the thunder. The cats scattered - one ran upstairs and one ran downstairs.

I remember when Teddy was about 6 months old we had our first BIG thunderstorm. It was the remnants of one of the florida hurricanes last year. It was like a monsoon outside and the thunder and lightening were insane. It woke us up at about 3 am and Teddy did not sleep in the bedroom with us at that time. So we thought we better go check on him just in case (of course at this point I am a basket case cause I am terrified of storms) This was his first major storm and he was just a baby, we figured he would be terrified as well. So we get out of bed turn on some lights and walk down the hallway to teddy's room. No sound coming from the room. So we open the door and peek in. No Teddy at the door. We walk into the bedroom and he is FAST ASLEEP in his chair lol. He woke up and looked up at us like "what do you want? it's time to get up already?" lol

Alaska goes CRAZY! He barks, jumps over fences, howls, whines, yelps... it's horrible. Buddy is scared when it comes to thunderstorms too, he hids, crouches, and shivers. Georgia will go around the house crouched down durning thunderstorms. Not sure about my cat though?

No, she has never noticed them and I doubt ever will unless they physically hurt her.

Molli and Sammy usually ignore them... sometimes they start barking. Sam hasn't experienced a bad one yet.

I've never been at my dad's while there was a thunderstorm so I don't know about the other pets.

Bitsy was never afraid of them until the 2004 hurricanes, since then she's been afraid of them.

Jake is a bit nervous, but he's not too bad them.

Charlie hates them and will cry, howl, and shake.

Nacey, Nova, and Buster couldn't care less about storms.

None of my cats or other pets seem to mind them either.
