The clock is ticking for a local animal shelter, in dangerous need of donations. It's the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or SPCA for short.
They're in danger of shutting down or cutting back services because their bank account's the lowest it's ever been.
"We're going to have to cut back on our services drastically. We'll have no choice because we have to survive," says SPCA of the Triad founder Brenda Overman.
The local SPCA doesn't get any federal, state or local funding, so they completely depend on public donations. AWWW Man. that is going to put a lot of animals out!!!! :( :( :( :(

Oh no! What a shame :(
that's terrible! maybe you could set up a fundraiser for them. try and put something in the paper to make people aware about this! tell your local news station.

I got it off the local news station. :) Maybe enough people watched it and want to help. At the end of the article there was a place you can send donations so maybe people will send some in. :(

Hopefully some people did, but you can also help - even by setting up a table for donations at the supermarket tommorrow, for example, ask the store manager's permission, and print up a little sign. You can help!

agreed! the SPCA would love it! :D
..::Prayers::.. for the Greensboro SPCA. I adopted Daisy from the SPCA in Houston. Fortunately it's doing quite well...
