Obsessed!!!!!!

I have a 3 year oldYellow lab that was given to me by my parents. My Dad thought it was a great idea to say to her "get the kitty". I have two cats at home that she gets along with just fine. The problem I have is she is obsessed with chasing cats that are outside. I doesn't matter what we say to her she will not listen to us. I have had to limit car rides because she jumped out of my window that was half way up to chase a cat. she can't go on the front porch with us because she darted off several times to chase cats. We thought we would be smart and tie her up when she was out on the porch with us and she broke her collar off trying to get to one. I want DJ to enjoy all the things that my Golden retriver gets to do but I am not sure how to control her when she see's a cat or other small animals. Please does anyone have any ideas?

hhhhhhhmmmmmmm she is probably confused right now. You should be stern with her when correcting her. there is something called nilif (nothing in life is free) that I don't know much about but others here do. I don't know if it applies to dogs chasing cats or not though. there are some people who have used it and it worked for them. You can do some research on it and get more information than I could give you. :) Also make sure to keep her away from them as much as possible. Find some sort of distraction that can make her lose interest in the cat. that might help. :)

try changing it to "get the daddy"
