Oh, Emilee my KatMa is flipping out over you. What a beautiful girl you are [you remind KatMa of her late darling Sasha the Queen Calico Cat]. The people who got you as a wee baby obviously had no knowledge of kittens! They did not realize:confused: kittens -- like human babies who make human sounds -- ask through meows for comfort, love and attention.

Meow, mew I learned that first-hand about three weeks ago: a stranger was at my Palace just before KatMa visited my human brother Mark & sister-in-law Cherry in Pasadena. He met me, said I was a handsome fellow, etc. so I figured he knew a little about royal felines. Oops! Was I wrong!

Being such a gracious kitty, I began to purr to welcome him. He asked my Katma -- can you believe this??? :rolleyes: -- "What is Norman doing?"

I saw my KatMa camouflage her surprise and answer: "Purring."

Oddball man replied: "Purring???? Do all cats do this, and why?"

KatMa thought he was being facetious. KatMa told him that, yes, the feline species all purr as it is one of may ways cats communicate.

Mr. Weird Oddball replied: "Wow, I didn't know!"

Even though he must come from some planet in another solar system, he was smitten by me, so maybe some good came out of meeting him.

Now we learn your former unsavvy folks gave you away 'cause you were mewling and meowing! Maybe their doggie was being naughty, playing too roughly with you. Looking at you today, darling Emilee, KatMa, Paw-Paw and I know the former unsavvy folks lost a very purr~ecious treasure: You!

Dear little Emilee...Not only might you have been meowing because you were a baby at the time, but I believe calicos in general meow a lot. And that is one of the thousands of reasons I LOVE my little Julie. She is so talkative. I never thought a little eight-pound creature could provide as much company as she has to me! Bless your little heart. I am so glad you are in a home where you are loved and valued for who you are.

Ohhhhhh, how sweet! What an adorable cutie pie! I opened COTD tonight and just had a fit - what a gorgeous face! Emilee has to have one of the most unique kitty faces I've ever seen. And she talks, too. I love vocal kitties. My orange tabby talks all the time and my other kitty is slowing becoming vocal.
