Mini me!

I can't get over how cute Ebony is in this pic, she looks do much like her mum, it's like having a mini me running around. Before we knew her sex we where hoping that she was a girl so that both live together.

Does anyone else have pets that are related to each other, and do they look alike?

It would be nice to show some pics.

WoW! She really is a "Mini Me" isn't she?
When I was a kid, we adopted a cat from the local shelter "Erma". Two weeks later Erma gave birth to, Petunia, Geranium, Miss Piggy and Arnold. NONE of them resembled either Erma or any other siblings.
Heather, your so lucky!

It's funny how that happens Loudlou, Ebony was the only one who really looks like her mum. Some say that Twinkle looks like her as he is also a lop,

what do you think?

I don't think he really looks like his Mum. He might have some of the same personality traits or something... HE is sooooooo CUTE. Oooh such wonderfully soulful brown eyes! Kiss and Hug all your fur-babies for me. They are ALL just TOO Cute for words!:D ;)

They sure look like each other...Everytime when I see your bunnies Heather, I want to have a bun-bun too

Hi Heather! Unfortunately, or fortunately, all of my buns are very different from each other... However out at the sanctuary we have a lot of twin, triples, quadruplets and a set of quintuplets. It gets really confusing when we do health checks to figure out which one we've got in our arms at the moment and who still needs their checkup. Many times it's just a matter of a small telltale sign but it still is a challenge. :D

My two cats, brother Emmitt & sister Moon confuse everybody but my son & me. His two kittens, sisters Baby and Slick don't look alike at all. My mama dog CheekyBitch and her son Thunder both look like black and white border collies and my daddy dog Badger and his daughter CollerFlower (don't ask) both look like blue merl (sp?) aussies. CollerFlower was from mama and daddy's first litter and Thunder was from their second AND LAST litter. All get along beautifully - cats and dogs. Laurie

My gerbil, Sam looks exactly like her mother, Scooter. When we put them together we couldnt tell the difference. They only difference is that Scooter was a little bigger than Sam was. They also share the love for sunflower seeds!:D

Heather, yes I can see that, I'd forgotten (for shame on me ;)).

When they were little and you couldn't tell by their sex, how did you tell them apart?

Out at the sanctuary, I've threatened to paint toenails or something, esp. with the big New Zealands...the are truly identical. Then we have several coal black big buns too. And we have.....

Wow Heather, triplets! Is the one on the very far right twinkles? The only reason I came to this conclusion is because the tips of his ears are a little floppy. they are ALL ADORABLE!

Daisy what I done was, gave the 3 brown ones names, sometimes I couldn't tell which was which. They where sexed at 10 weeks old, one of the brown ones was a girl so she took on the permanent role of Dusty, so then there was the 2 brown males. One of them had a loppy ear so I decided to give him the permanent name Twinkle as I could tell who he was because of the ear thing. And of course Smokey. All the brown buns where split up anyway due to space in the hutches, so from then on i knew which was which. No adays I only have Twinkle left from the brown rabbits so I don't have that problem anymore.

It must be hard in the sanctuary:confused:

Bunnicula, to be honest i didn't have a clue half of the time which was which. Yes but I think you are right that is Twinkle.

He was also the easiest to tell apart.

In this pic twinks is the one on the left, iknow this due to his ears. The other brown one in the pic, believe it or not is a girl, we didnt know this as it was before they where sexed. I put her in with the rest who turned out to be BOYS!!!!!!!

Just as well I got her out of there in time eh?

Heather, CheekyBitch is a border collie and truly does live up to her name. She's my baby and loves me but DON'T MESS WITH SLIM  :D with the most piercing blue eyed stare you've ever seen too. Just wish I could scan pictures so everyone could see THE LOOK ;) Oh, also at the house is my son's dog Punk who is Daddy's "other son" who looks like Daddy and Daddy's "other daughter", my mom's dog Jetty who looks like the mailman. Laurie, are you sure you are not scottish, as that's the kind of name we would call our dogs, something straight to the point about describing our animals.

Still think it's a great name.

I had a friend who called his cat ' you little B*****D'. I will probably get into trouble for that one!:(

The out in the big world picture is just darling! Thanks for sharing.

I was just notified that the sanctuary has accepted 14 buns from the local humane society and they will come later on today. I don't think we've ever taken this many all at once. They apparently were in an abusive situation...   I just don't understand how people can do stuff like that and live with themselves.

I know it makes me appreciate my guys all the more and all my bunny loving friends all the more!

I don't often show that picture Daisy at it makes me sad, as 2 of the buns in the picture are no longer here anymore, they have new homes. Twinkle is the only one who is still with me.

Yes I treat my rabbits extra special as I know how horrible there life might have been if they had fallen into the wrong hands.:) :)

I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you sad. The thing to remember is that that was such a wonderful time when the picture was taken,so much fun and so much joy....I can tell just by looking at the picture. I understand too...I have some pictures of a previous bunny of mine that became ill and didn't make it. I try and remember what a character he was. I do love to see your pictures though, they come out so well. Mine are always kind of fuzzy or too light or too dark....can't win. :(

I have 2 passions in life, animals and photography, what makes it even better is I can take pictures of my animals. I can include one hobby in another.

I used to take pics of land scapes but now I just click those rabbits instead.:)
