Male Dog Pee's whenever around females..

I have a slight problem. My dog is house broken, but the problem is, my female dog went into heat, now my male dog pees when ever he is around her. It would not be that big of a problem, but he walks and pees. He gets to go out any time that he wants, cause the backdoor is always open. So its not like he can not get out.

Why is my male dog doing this? Is there any way to get him to stop?

You need to get your female dog spayed (about a month after her heat is finished) and him neutered (asap) if he is not already.
That will solve the problem. :)

Is he neutered?

Most male dogs will do that when a female is in heat. Its normal.
Crate your male and let him out only to go potty and exercise. Sounds mean but it will cut down on the urine in the house. To avoid this in the future have your female spayed and your male neutered

You need to get both your dogs spayed and nuetered. It will solve the problem.

Right now, all you can really do is wait it out and seperate them if you can. It's not a behavioral problem. It's just a reaction to your female.

After she comes out of heat, it'd be best to spay your female and neuter the male if you haven't already done so.

I'd agree, its best to get her spayed.
