Just when you think she is miserable and it is impossiable for her to get around, I looked up this morning to see THIS!

I put a folded up comforter under there so if she fell off, it would make her landing easier and clearly saw, I need to make supports for the sides that would (hopefully) prevent her from tumbeling off that I have already cut out and will do the same for the higher perch in case she feels brave enough someday to get back up there.

The weather here has cleared up, the sun is out and it is about in the 80's so she IS feeling her best today.

Well bless her little heart! Laura, I'd be a nervous wreck if I were you!!! But she sure does insist on being normal, doesn't she?!?!

What a sweetheart!

Yes, it is these goals and accomplishments that make me just adore her. Day before yesterday, she was miserable, could hardly walk so she stayed in her bed from about 10:30 that morning until 9:30 that night and had me worried to death. Yesterday I saw her on the window level of the perch so I should have KNOWN she was fixing to challange herself again.

I HAVE added some sides to it now and will post pictures of those when I am done...I may have to go with higher sides than what I did but that is the only lumber I had here already.

My Inka says hi to you to! She says that her meowmie bought her a scratchtower with a larger platform! Might be handy for you too ;)

That little determined girl got up there AGAIN today and this time I watched how she did it. She sits on the platform on the window level and stares at it, then she stands and grabs with her front claws and DIGS IN and PULLS herself up using her front claws, trying to use her weak back legs on the post to steady herself as best she can. I would have got a video of it but I knew by the time I got the camera and powered it up, she would have been up there... She made it look so easy for her that I stood there with my smiling mouth dropping to the floor.

M & I Mommy, the one we have is the one Mike and I built and it has a nice platform that they all love too! At the time we built it, it costs us about $100 and it is all wood, the carpet was free. I got the sides on both high perches today, Chester noticed something was different so he stood on the platform and put his paws up there and smelled and smelled but never got up on them.

Clever girl, Amy! I love the way she is lying on that perch, flicking her tail in such a feisty manner.
