I woke up Saturday morning to find that George had made his journey to the rainbow bridge. :( We are not sure what caused it, maybe it was some sort of defect, that would explain why his momma abanded him at such a young age. It appeared that he did not suffer, at least not much. He was found on the bed in all curled up. In fact at first Joe thought he was just sleeping. Unfortunatly he was sleeping, never to wake up again. :(
It's amazing that such a tiny, young creature can have that much impact on you. My life seems so empty without that cutie running around. I do know that in his short time with us that he had experienced more love than his brothers & sisters probably ever will in their lifetime. He had it good and he was loved by all.
So many people are devestated over his passing. It was such a shock. There is my mother, my uncle & his girlfriend, all who helped rescue him, then my friend & her daughter who would watch him during the day for me sometimes, Joe's son who was very attached to him, my friend & her family who was going to adopt him then of course Joe & I & all of our critters.
We all gathered Saturday afternoon for his burial. I expanded one of my flower beds for him where he was laid to rest. He will be growing into a beautiful bunch of Daisies and will forever be with me. The children are getting together later this week to make his tombstone.
It was a cloudy, rainy, dreary day. The moment the first shovel of dirt was laid atop of him the clouds cleared, the sun came out. It was his sign, he is now at peace.
I am very saddened to say that his life was too short for such a sweet baby but I am happy to say that he is now happy, healthjy & whole again. There are many people & pets alike up there keeping him company, watching down on us all.
