I think we do! I am getting ready to move back there myself, and, I know there are at least two or three others. Aly and I met a couple years ago, but, I haven't heard from her in a long time. But, even just three or four people would be fun. I'll be watching this thread to see if it's going to happen! But, yeah, I'll be back there this month, around the 19th. I'll be in Plano.

Same here. I would love to, but my parents are kinda skepticle (sp?) of me meeting people I've never seen. I know you are all really good people but maybe when I am a little older. Sorry:(

Yeah, I think inviting a parent or both could help out a lot that way. Depending on where the younger folks are, maybe the older folks could drive to them, instead. That might help, too. :)

And, to answer the question of when, I leave in two weeks. I'll be driving back on Thursday, the 18th. We'll either make the trip in one day or two, depending on how we feel. It'll be me and Finn in my car and my mom and her best friend in another. So, it's all dependent on how the three of us feel. I hope to drive it in one day. :)

Check out the Louisiana thread...we could maybe have a caravan leaving from Dallas or even carpool with people with large enough vehicles and small enough pups. ;) I'm up for Shreveport, anyone not interested in going there? Because I'd be up for a DFW meeting and a Shreveport one, too. Y'all just have to speak up if you're interested! :)

It's only a four hour drive, right? I'm thinking I probably wouldn't stay overnight somewhere...but, maybe, if David came with me. :) We'll definitely have to have a DFW one, though. YAY!

We can't travel far, but I'm up for a DFW meeting for sure! We're in Northern TX, just 12 miles from OK border. We're about 2 hours from Dallas, and that drive would be do-able for us :)

I may or may not be available the following weekend...June 2nd through the 4th, I'll find out for sure this week.

I'm not available the weekend of the 23rd to the 25th...

July, I won't be available the 21st through the 23rd...or the 27th through the 31st...

As of right now, the weekends for me...

That would work out the best for me but I'd pitch in money for a carpool to somewhere in Texas if that would work. :)

It looks as though we will be in Texas a little longer than expected... But I still wouldn't be able to come to the DFW area... :(
Shreveport is about 4 hours from here, so we might be able to come to that one, but the meeting would have to happen some time here soon in order for us to still be in town.

I'm up for a PT meeting here in Shreveport! :D Although, I won't have my pooch until mid July. I doubt my cats would enjoy being outside, though. They would much rather sit on their big comfy bed in an air conditioned room. :D

No worries! No one's really said too much about a Texas one. I posted what my schedule kinda looked like, and, that was it. Looks like the Louisiana one might be closer to being a reality at this point. But, what does your schedule look like for a DFW meeting?

Oh, we can totally do a DFW meeting! I'm up for that! And, I'm cool with it just being me and you if no one else can come or speaks up! ;) What park would you like to meet at? Do you have a place in mind or an area of DFW that you prefer? Maybe if you and I can get a place chosen, I can pm some of the girls that have shown an interest in this idea. Well, there are definitely dog parks we could meet at. I think I listed three that I know of already...one in Plano (really close to me), one in Fort Worth (the farthest from me, but, I can still do that one), and, one in Dallas. If we could go on a Friday or Monday morning (whichever day is included in your three day weekend), it would be a lot less crowded! ;) The Dallas one is the smallest. I think the Fort Worth one is the largest.

There is also a free, open range, unfenced (but, a couple hundred acres, from what i understand) park that people take their dogs to all the time. We have taken our three there a couple of times, and, they love it. Lots of trails, creeks they can cool off in, etc. David has been going there for awhile and has never had any problems, and, we didn't the two times we've been. It's a nice place to go walking, very relaxing. It is also in Plano.

It looks like the Texas one is actually in the workings right now, we're just trying to find out who wants to go and when would be a good weekend. So, if there are any weekends that you can't or any that you can, let us know. lvpets2002 and I are for sure going to be meeting. Currently my days off are Wednesday and Sunday. I can do either of those days, although I'm sure It'll end up being Sunday, as it's a better day for most people :) Boones obedience class is every Sunday, but we can meet after his lesson, or I can trade one of his classes with another day.

How do you all feel about getting together Sunday, the 18th? That's Father's Day, but, I'm all right with that. I won't be available the following Sunday, though. Yes we can do it! Which dog park and I'll mapquest it. It'll have to be after Boones class, his class is 9-10am...it'll take us about 3 hours to get there to Dallas, as his class is in Lawton, OK, which is north of Dallas. We can meet there at around 1 or so. That sound good? It sounds fun :D Oh how exciting! This will be Boones first dogpark :D

It might be even quicker to get to the Plano parks from there, we are north of everything, just about. ;) I think one sounds fine! I will personally send messages now to lvpets2002 to see if she can make it. It may only be the three of us, or maybe Wenisrubber sans dog. ;) But, would that be all right with you if it's just small meeting?

Another good thing about coming to Plano, we have a boat if the folks at the meeting want to go out on the lake for a couple hours in the morning. There are places we can boat out to where the dogs can play in the water and on the land, completely off leash. So, if we're really on for Sunday (still waiting to hear from a couple people :) ), we can possibly even grill some burgers or hot dogs or something at the house (David has said he'd man the grill for us!). We have a fenced in backyard (not huge, but, not tiny, either). And, the park and the open range area are within minutes. I think I said that already, sorry. :) Can't wait to hear if you guys can come Sunday!

We can do one in Fort Worth. I won't be able to bring Freckles and Dudley, or grill out or use the boat at all, but, I don't mind driving an hour (especially when it's mostly highway!). I just suggested Plano because we have our house to chill at and cool off at and there's the open range dog walking, creek playing area. Way better than any dog park! ;) Is that a for sure no? What kind of dog do you have that you'd be bringing, I could possibly even come and get you? I just hate that an hour drive would keep you from the meeting!

Yeah, as far as I know, we still have it going on for Sunday. And, I was including Plano in DFW, oops. Most of the people I know include Arlington, too. hahahaha. Plano was my suggestion, and, I didn't hear anyone say it was a bad one. We can definitely do it somewhere else, but, then it will just be a dog park, not much else. ;) The lake might have to be early in the morning, though, before you and Boone arrive. :/ I don't know if just heading to the lake at 1 or 2 would be a good idea...but, we can figure that out when I find out for sure who's coming and when and with whom. :) It looks like you, me, and Helene (lvpets2002)...possibly Kaylin (countrycowgirl). Still waiting to hear from Wenisrubber. :)
