:o I just have to vent. I posted here (http://www.petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=102719) about the dogs running out the driveway when we go to meet the bus at the end of our road. Well, the dogs have pushed it too far. Ever since I posted the thread, we have just been putting the dogs in our porch (we would put them in the house, but they go swimming everyday and smell HORRIBLE, and need some baths) until about 10 min. after we leave, then my dad lets them out. Well, yesterday, my dad let them out a little too early, and they were able to reach the end of the driveway before we got on the bus. Autumn went ON the bus!!! She sat right by the bus drivers feet, and he was petting her and talking to her  I'm not so mad that he didn't get angry at her coming on the bus, but now he gave her something to strive for every morning. Well, today I put the dogs in the porch, and we had to walk out, and that just broke Maggie and Autumn's hearts. I could hear them crying and barking for a 1/4 of a mile! Then long behold, here come to dogs running down the driveway. :o My dad told me (when I got home) that Maggie had seen us open the door so many times (just one of the push lever ones) that she kept pawwing at it, and got it opened, stepped half way out, looked back, Autumn went running out the door, and Maggie followed her. When the bus got to my house, Autumn ran on it again, and this time went to the BACK of the bus, and all the little kids were petting her and stuff. I yelled at her to go home, so she came to the front, and my bus driver said, "she misses you, she wants to go to school with you too!" lol. So now Autumn has a BAD habit. I just wanted to vent about this.

My best friends dog Tika got killed last night...she was hit by a car. :( She left behind 6 puppies... here's an old thread about her.. Tika (http://www.petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=102943)

I would try to find some way to keep them inside or safe from traffic so they don't get hit. :( It is good that your bus driver was nice about them being on the bus.

I am sorry about Tika, she was beautiful. :( ((hugs))

Cant you lock the door though?
Sorry about Tika she was soo pretty!!
Are they keeping one of her puppies in memory of her?
And are they old enough to not have a mommy?

I'll try and see if we can lock the door tomorrow, from the outside, if not, I'll just have my dad do it, jeez, I never thought of that :p

At first they were going to keep one of the puppies, (before Tika died, to keep her company) but I talked to Jesse and Shandy today about keeping a puppy, and they said that they probably weren't. THEY want to, but their mom doesn't. Their whole family was VERY attached to their dogs, and I'm sure Kristi (thier mom) is very upset also. Shandy's aunt, and maybe her grandma are going to keep some puppies too, and they live 1 - 2 miles away, so they will get to see them a lot.

The puppies are about 7 weeks old, so I think they will be o.k. They might need a little help, but not for too much longer. :)
