I need some tips. Audrey just informed me my camera DOES have macro! How can I actually get it to work right? :p

I finally got brave enough to play with mine last time I was home and got pretty decent results. Just play and play until you get there results you want. "Play make perfect!"

Try it from different distances to see how close you can get. My canon a95 doesn't get that close...Good lighting helps too.

Be sure to let your camera "focus" long enough; my camera gives me a "green light" when it is ready!

Does your camera not have an on/off switch for macro? If not, usually half-pressing down the shutter button for about 1-3 seconds will give your camera time to focus on it's subject.. then press down all the way!
ETA: Are you home from school today? :D

Try reading the manual!!!! It's not just there to pad the box, and is usually quite helpful for this sort of thing.

These days, you may be able to find the manual online - try typing your camera make and model into Google, and seeing if site for the manufacturer(is it a Canon?) comes up.

Nope, it's a Kodak.
I'll try that in a little bit.
