What's the best way to get a dog used to a new kitty two months old...

It's going to take a little time, so be patient!!

It takes a while for them to get used each other, but patience is the key! I had to let my cats and dog see each other through windows and let them know that they weren't going to hurt each other. Make sure you don't traumatize them either. After about seven months they got along okay and now the three are best buds. I would also suggest making sure your dog knows it is unacceptable for him to chase or attack the kitty.

I agree that it takes time for them to adjust to one another.
It's been my experience that the dog's are friendlier to the new kitten than the kitten is to the dog's.

I have Chihuahua's and Great Pyrenees, both of which absolutely love the cats. One day I brought an abandoned cat home, not realizing at first that she was soon to have kittens. She was very aggressive in attacking my dog's. I had hopes of her eventually settling down, but after 6 months of her terrorizing my tiniest Chi, I found a wonderful home for her. She did have 5 beautiful babies that all grew to love playing with dogs and cats alike. I kept one of those kittens and placed the others in great homes.

I think the younger they are when you place them together helps. The history on the cat I had tried out had been abandoned in a trailor park as a kitten and had to survive on her own, scavenging for food and survival, until I had found her. Out of fairness to my terrorized little one, I thought it best to find a more suitable environment for the wild siamese.

Best wishes with yours,
