I say a prayer silently in my head whenever I read that someone needs prayers. And for some, drastic things, I raise them during prayer time at my church, or after rehearsal. They are all quite used to my huge "extended family."

Buttercup, you are just like me. I am not religious, but I respect everyone elses religion, and there are often requests for prayers. When I first joined PT, I replied to these threads saying they would be in my prayers, but I don't pray so I soon switched the statement to they'll be in my thoughts;) If I was religious though I think I would pray for PT people:)

I usually say my prayers at night before bed and ask God to watch over all PT people and pets and help them with whatever they need or are going through.

Since when did you have to follow a specific religion to pray? If you feel inclined to pray, however and to whatever, do it. No sincere and well-intentioned prayer is 'wrong'.
I do follow a specific religion, but I have not prayed for PT'ers before. Then again, there's no one here I know very well at all, and I haven't come across too many requests.

Define prayer, because I think of the pets and people who are in need all the time. Isn't that a form of prayer? I talk about my pt family so often its like you are my real family.
I don't pray either but I spend a lot of time sending positive thought to sick animals and also a lot of time worrying about them. :)

I am not religious, so no, I don't pray. I do think about them a lot though. When Delta was gone, he was pretty much all I thought about. He really pulled at my heart strings. I wanted so bad to be up in Canada helping Tamara look for him.

I pray for everyone on PT, human and non-human. I asked that all are blessed and protected. I also pray for the ones by name who have asked for prayers.
Prayer is a very personal thing. I don't think there is any one correct way to pray. It's between you and your maker. Sometimes just standing outside looking at the stars with the wind carressing my face makes heaven and the passed loved ones feel so close I can almost see them. It's different for everyone I think. :)

I don't believe in any higher spirit to pray to but I do keep them all in my thoughts.

I keep them in my thoughts mostly. Sometimes I will do a silent prayer in my head as I'm reading their post.

I just joined but I say prayers every night for all the sick and injured and homelesss and need pets and people. My dogs also every night go to the foot of the bed and I tell them say your prayers and I have Holly water and then bless them and we give each other a kiss and then they lay down. I believe in the power of prayer and also people who do not believe in religion the power of positive thinking and vibes.

You do not need to be religious to pray. If you believe in God then you can pray (talk) to Him. I pray for all the pet talkers when I am reading the post and try to at night.
of course i do! i'm not going to say i'll pray then NOT pray.

Oh yes always! Some of the ones who are in worse conditions then others I pray for individually but the rest I just say a quick prayer for knowing that God will listen to anything. :)

VERY HARD! I always say "No, I won't pray for them. Why should I pray for someone who hates me?". Then I feel guilty and do it anyway.
