Jack going to a new home

Well, as some of you might remember, last fall my dad's friend's son (Derek) got Jack at an auction. He couldn't keep him over the winter because he didn't have a shelter for him, so we took him home. Well Derek is going away to college and can't take Jack. I thought it was irresponsible of him to get Jack if he was still unsure of his future. We can't keep Jack, because we won't make any progress with Dreamer. So my Dad's friend (Gary) found someone who will buy him. It's a good friend of Gary who will take him. He's got many other donkeys and I know Jack will be happy there. I'm really sad to see him go, but I know it's best. I sure hope you all understand. He'll have a great life there, hopefully I will be able to visit him from time to time. He's been such a great boy.

I am sorry that you have to let him go! I understand why though, he really wasn't your donkey, and it was very iiresponsible of Derek to do this to you and your dad.
I wish Jack luck, and if you visit him, be sure to take pics and share with us!

Aw, I'm sorry for you, this must be really difficult. But it sounds like Jack will be really happy where he's going. I don't think anyone could not understand your circumstance, you are obviously very sad to see him go and have thought about Jack in all this too, so you've done the right thing. He is a cutie, it will be a shame to not see his pictures anymore, unless you can keep in contact with his new owner;) . I hope Jack has a very happy future.

Thanks so much everyone. I'm going to my dad's for the weekend and Jack will be going to his new home sunday, I think. I will get pics for you. He sure will be missed.
