View Full Version : May I get on with my life now?
Praise the heavens - they have had a baby girl!
Now I am thrilled to hear of the birth of a brand new baby - everyone is so excited - who does it look like? Is it a good baby? Is Mom alright? How is Dad taking it?
But could you please, please STOP with the news of Tom Cruise and Katie having their baby girl?
Next thing you know there will coverage of her jumping up and down on the same couch at Oprah's that her Dad jumped on.
I wish them well - much happiness - and on and on...................I just don't want to hear about every diaper change, PLEASE!
Do you recall the story of the QUIET that was supposed to occur when the baby was born? Now it is my turn...........the baby is here....QUIET PLEASE. :D

Yes! One less pregnancy to be bombarded about! Gwyneths had hers and as soon as Gwen and Angelina pop, everyone will be done! yay!

I'm in the same boat with you all......though I will admit the media nickname "TomKitten" is adorable....... :p
Couldn't agree with you more Gini! Brace yourself but we still have to endure the news about Angelina and Brad's little bundle.
I couldn't help but wonder at the irony of Katie and Brooke Shields giving birth in the same hospital within hours of each other. I sure hope Katie doesn't suffer any post-partum depression. I think her hubby will be less than sympathetic. Funny.... I always liked Tom Cruise but lately he gets on my last nerve.

Gini,
Great minds think alike, I swear!! What cracked me up the most was when Tom Cruise was talking about "WE" having a silent birth. Who the hell is WE??? I don't see HIM pushing a basketball size creature out of his anatomy. I only wish for once, that a guy could go through pregnancy, LOOOOOOOONG hard labor and delivery SILENTLY.
So, ENOUGH ALREADY!! The kid is here...DEAL WITH IT!!!!
*okay, I'll get off my soapbox now and slink into the corner*

I always think these people do not exist in reality- they are only a big marketing and PR invention. And even if they exist- I would never believe that any of these articles tell me something about the real persons behind the stories.
I am so glad nobody will ever write about me

After the couch jumping episode, I've lost ALL respect for him. I give them 5 years MAX. Whatever happened to:
First comes love
Then comes marriage
Then comes so-and-so with a baby carriage.
THOSE people certainly have it @$$ backwards.

What troubles me is that if they put this much thought into having a baby (i.e. none) what on earth are they like when it comes to getting a pet!

I didn't know they had their baby. My suggestion is to not read the magazines (I won't even look at the racks anymore) and not to watch the tv programs. :) That's the only way you're not going to hear about their personal lives. I don't think they talk about that stuff on the Discovery Channel, hahahaha. That's about all I watch anymore. ;)

NOOOOO... you may not!!! What the HEY is wrong with you?
We "need" to see the pictures, the first trip outside, the happy family, vacations, etc., etc..
HEY... maybe Tom will dangle her from a balcony by her feet! Oh pa-leease, this is just the beginning. We get to see Tom and Katie get married. Some crazy Scientology baby rights and my personal "favorite" - the divorce. That usually comes along around 3-5 years (in a solid, strong hollywood relationship that is)!
So stayed tuned, you have a long ride ahead of you!!! :D

You all think you got it bad?!? At least you don't live in Katie's hometown!!! Every step she takes makes the nightly news. They were interviewing people in the bar she used to hang out in the night Suri was born. "Yeah this girl I know, was friends with her and they used to come in here and..."

What really bugs me about all these celebs is that they go from thrusting their offspring at us for a few months then they go back to their "careers" and probably wouldn't spot their own child in a line up! Eh Ms Moss????

What bugs me the most about celebs, is they don't want their pictures taken, then they do, then they don't. UGH!!! What a screwed up society they live in. Role models??? HARDLY.

I know, me too - I'd just love to see how he'd handle that one
I saw a brief clip of Tom in an interview now that the baby has arrived. He was asked about the experience. Part of his answer was that he is *still processing it.* What's to process? It happened. It's processed. Why do people (especially celebs) have to use these overworn and meaningless phrases? *sigh* How about something normal like "it will be something I will never forget." Processing it sounds like he is some sort of computer.

Like an outdated computer...computers process much faster then that!!
Just add how ridiculous this all is in Toledo, I was browing through one of our local rescue groups page to see what dogs they had pulled from kill shetlers this week...one of the female puppies ( an adorable 8 wk od shepherd mix) was named, yep you guessed it ....Suri! Ugh!

I don't care about celebs...hardly know the names of any of them, and when they have 'news' or 'kids', I never 'click' on the links to the news reports. I don't have a TV (thank God), so when I want news, I go online and 'click' on what I want to know. :p Whatever I don't want to know can remain 'unclicked'. The media is ridiculous. Celebs are worse.

How 'bout we make it a surgically precise earthquake?? Something like a sinkhole underneath the entire area? :p
I am not sure what we would accomplish. Hollywood itself is a rather seedy area.
And TomKat - TomKitten, whatever their names are live in Brentwood. :D
