View Full Version : Neighbor Problem.

My neighbor has two cats who were indoor cats, but she now lets them out during the afternoons. They enter and exit through an upstairs window which also has easy access to my roof terrace.
Normally I would have no problem with them, but they are using all my plants as litter boxes. The smell is disgusting, and I am constantly cleaning up dirt from the floor.
Is there a something that can deter them from using my pots as litter boxes?

You might try sprinkling some black or cayenne pepper on the soil; that might act as a deterrent.

Fantastic, I am going to clean it out, then try that asap.
Thanks for the fast response. :)

I have also heard that cedar chips are a good deterrant(and they'll look pretty in your plants). So is vinegar...but don't know how you would use that!
Good luck!

I've heard lava rocks can help.

I Would Try The Cedar Chips,as That Acts As A Deterrent To The Porch Cats To Keep Them Out Of The Porch Plants.
Good Luck!!

I have heard about vinegar too, but I donīt think the plants would like it too much. :p
And ceder chips... hmm... I donīt think I have ever seen them over here, but I will look at the garden centre this week.
