The FurKids are Host Dawgz at the annual Rabies Shot Clinic in the Fire Station
on Saturday the 20th!

Then the NEXT weekend >> May 28th<< is the Memorial Day Gathurin at Findlay! :)

I'd say the 2 that always need out and exercised! ;)
Snoopy and Taggert! The dogs are always on leash there isn't anywhere to let them off leash. But you have plenty of time to decide.
Last year we ran back to my house to drop my gimpy girl off to rest b/c she was having a hard time walking. This year will be worse since she has torn both ACL's but anyway then we ran out and got food and had a picnic in a quiet corner of the park.
I fed Bon-Bon my french fries! ;)

First trick is to Find da Park - "Harrison Smith Park" - East side of town right on
OLD Route 30 / East Wyandot Avenue.

Got to http://www.MapQuest.com (http://www.mapquest.com/) and enter the following Address:

630 E Wyandot Av
Upper Sandusky
OH 43351

You can ask for just a MAP; or Directions to that address from your home or
another "Starting" location. Pick either MAP or Directions.

The Red Star marks the Park's divided Entrance Driveway - on the SOUTH side of
E Wyandot Av - about 2 miles west of the big routes 23/30 Interchange.
You'll drive down into a dip and cross the Sandusky River - the Park is there in the
"Dip" on the south side of the road. Turn into the divided driveway and work your way
STRAIGHT back (south) into the trees. When you can't go STRAIGHT any farther on
paved driveways - you should see the big Picnic Pavilion and the Lake -
you're there - Park da Bus and wander over to Headquarters in the Pavilion.

"The Gang" will be within Lookin Distance of the Pavilion - or -
if it's 1:00 PM - we may be on The Hike around the outer road ... catch up or
we'll be right back.

I'm home! Made it home about 9:10. Had to make a pit stop in Clarksburg to drop off my nieces. We are all pooped. Pulled up in the driveway to see Miss Tori peering out the window as always. Patiently awaiting our return. She went nuts when we walked in the door. I don't think she cared too much that I was there she was just extremely happy to see her big sister. Katie is curled up at my feet sleeping and Tori is sniffing and licking on her..lol..I'm sure she is getting all kinds of wierd doggy smells. I had a really good time and my nieces had a blast! They loved all the grown ups and all the doggies. I haven't even looked at my pictures yet. I'll try to get to them soon. Diana and Amy, we missed both you and your families. Can't wait to see you guys next week. Ok, I'm off to look at Staci's pics now.

Staci, those pictures are awesome. I tried to copy and paste my favourites but only got a red X. :( Phred, I just love your hat with the greenies on it. :D We have a similar dog walk up here for the SPCA.

Anyway, looking at the pictures and recognizing all the people and pets was fun....almost like I was there myself.

As for meetings, one day I will attend Findlay. Don't know when, but I won't be giving you any warning. ;) :D Unfortunately I don't have a dog but hopefully someone will lend me their pup for just one day. :cool:

Staci, thanks for all of the great pictures. For me, way out here on the left coast - it is like looking at a family reunion - all the aunts and uncles are there and all of the cousins are sniffing each other!

That park is beautiful - and it sure looked like everyone was having a great time.

I wonder if I was able to steal Bon - if anyone would notice? But then there is Buster - or Keegan - it would be too hard to decide.

Great pictures, Anna! That is a very beautiful park! Really wishing we could have come. I thought it would be a lot more people and crowds. Snoopy might have been able to handle that. But the good thing was we were able to take the whole bunch to our friends so they could all run for about an hour. Two days without seizures - that's a good thing!

We had another "Award-Winning Performance" at PawsFest -

the second PT Winner was Ann's Hubby MARK who scored better than

Started during our picnic supper - when the Baby Chipmunks
started FALLING OUT of the Trees and running through the crowd!

We adjourned the picnic area and moved to the Kids Playground to give
Robin's WELL-behaved Nieces a chance to be Kids for a while.

Huney was developing a Stiff Neck from Chipmunk / Squirrel Watchin ...
Mark offered to take her on a Squirrel Hunt ...

OFF they went -at a dead run - Squirrel Hunter in the lead ...
"Dad" hangin onto the leash a few steps behind ...

Things started goin DOWNhill as Mark's leash arm & upper body got farther & farther
out in front and ahead of his feet ...

Most of us gave him a 9.5 - Anna (slightly biased) awarded a 10 Plus.

He stretched out - almost horizontal a foot or two above the ground -
then landed spread-eagle on the grass.

Mark, I feel your pain!! I don't remember iof it was last year, or the year before, but after a PT picnic, I tried a similar race with all three dogs, after ducks. I didnt fair as well...when I hit the wet grass and went flying, I dropped the leashes and the dogs kept running!! Thankfully they all have pretty good recall and came back!!!

I think I got more of a "what were you thinking? :rolleyes: " from Ralph!!!

Anna, I'm so glad you got a video of Kiara and her winning performance. I was standing back a bit and gabbing to someone and missed it :o .

I've enjoyed everyone's pictures. Sorry it has taken me so long to get to mine. I was just too exhausted to do it Sunday and was busy yesterday and most of today. I had a really good time and thought it was such a nice day. I loved seeing all my PT buddies and really loved, loved, loved seeing all the dogs! It was a very pretty park too. My nieces had a blast and now want to go to Findlay with me. Hmm, not for sure about that. Do I want to take them or not?..lol. What do you guys think? I can't make up my mind. Since it was an on leash event I got to take Katie with me and that was special for me. I thought she did fairly well. There were some "growly" moments but nothing physical. Overall, I'm happy with how she behaved. I love that big girl so much!

I'm so glad everyone had such a great time! I love that everyone felt welcomed and thinks it is such a beautiful park. I guess I take it for granted b/c I live here. I wish it wasn't so far away for all of you I would LOVE for you to see it in the winter time - they decorate it up for the Fantasy of Lights. The entire park is lit up. They play music that I can hear all the way at MY house! I found some links but the most recent ones are from 2004. They close the park down the first of November to set it up then it is ran thru the whole month of December.

Mark did get quite a nasty bite on his leg though...good thing his leg was in the way...I'd hate for poor Keegan to have had that bite mark:o

First the bite, then the big fall. His shoulder is still hurting something awful, but just like a man he won't dare go to the hospital and have them check it out :rolleyes:
We did have a wonderful day though. It was great to get together and see all our friends (humans and dogs alike).

We left Sat. and got back Mon. late pm from our little jaunt to Virginia to watch our niece graduate. Maybe next year we can make it to Pawfest. Will definitly see you all in Findlay in a few days! Oh and there's one more thing I've been wanting to say. I don't have kids, and my dogs are rarely around any kids, but I have to say they were wonderful at the park on Sunday. We went over to the playground and all the kids come running up to us wanting to pet the dogs and the dogs just loved it! A little boy even hugged Bon and laid his head on him...it was just too cute. Of course I wasn't able to get any pictures, but I see Robin did. These just have to be my favorite of the day:)
