Just seeing Pam's thread, "Eating breakfast in Peace....NOT", I just had to share this with you all.

I mentioned this in her post, "When just the hubby is at the table eating, he allows the cats up and they know it."
Usually there are only 2-3 cats that join him.
This is the FIRST time though that all FIVE cats joined in.

See Buddy under the table.

IF YOU HAVE ANY PICTURES OF YOUR CATS JOINING YOU AT THE TABLE, PLEASE POST THEM. :D

OMG, that's hysterical! How can the poor man eat with all those vultures circling?

LOL! LOL! Does it matter what he is eating? Are they drawn to different aromas or are they just beggars?  :p

I remember one time after dinner I had walked into the living room for about five minutes before clearing the table and loading the dishwasher, etc. What did I see, but Trevor jumping off the table with a slice of roast beef in his mouth.

Yes they are drawn to different aromas, because sometimes they don't even bother. Today the hubby was having balony. Out of the five boys, Poppy & Willy are the beggers, Mooky, Sades & Chipper normally aren't.

That must have been a hoot seeing Trevor running off with a slice of roast beef. Can't say that I blame him though. :)

Jen, how I know, that you know what this is like. Could you please post that picture again, with most of your cats surrounding you guys while you were trying to eat. Pretty please. :D

Haha these pictures are great! I should post a picture of Carmels eating with us! And the best part is when he "covers" our food after he is done as if he is hiding it! He scrapes the table all around our plates "covering" it and sometimes he even tosses the napkins on top of our food to hide it for later! I must get a picture of that or a video!

PS- Jen I didnt notice you gained weight either! You look great dont worry bout it!

A lot of people feel that way and that's okay and I can understand it also as I don't like them on the table when I am eating.
The cats know that when we are all sitting at the dinner table, NOT to jump up onto the table. At times they try mind you, but a stern "NO" from me, soon puts that idea to rest. I HATE being the bad guy or gal in this case, but that is just something I don't like. Otherwise, they are allowed on the table to look out the window, because that's where they are able to see the birds and squirrels. :D

Well now you can go back and compare. (LOL) (not to worry, I am not sensitive about my weight. C'est la vie)

At dinner they get yelled at if there is food on the table, but other times.....well, I just live with it.

I don't have any pictures, but ours our pretty good. They will sit around the table, we have one of the pull up kind and we eat sitting on the couch. It is just perfect cat height to beg. They don't actually jump up on the table, but Fluffy has been known to scoop a chunk of chicken off hubby's plate with her paw and they all beg. Garfield has the best table manners, he will wait until we are done eating and then when the table is put down he just likes to sit on my husband. Of course if you offer him a piece of chicken he will gladly take it LOL! Gidget usually sits next to me staring and waiting and Rusty has decided when all else fails the floor is a good place in case something falls.

Being a Bachelor I dont eat at a table.
I have some bowls that I pour things into, and then I eat listening to my Fibber Mc Gee and Molly CDS.
I never eat at the table.
Its actually an experience to sit at a table in a Restaurant.

What funny pictures!! I remember that one well of Charlie and the crew. Lorraine - the one of your hubby and the babies is sooooo cute :D

I was going to post that MY kitties never do such a thing  and then post some pictures of them on the table - the two babies are the ones always begging food. :) This reminds me so much of a "manners" thread from long time ago.

Poor hubby trying to eat with all that company. Love it!! :D

What's a table? I can't sit down and eat unless it's a restaurant where there's not moochers begging and getting their potty paws in my food lol! If I want to enjoy a meal...the bathroom lol! ;) :D Wonderful pictures Lorraine...thanks for the laugh! :D

LOL! Great pictures.

I don't have any pictures but it's usually a mob scene at our dinner table every night. I have to keep a water bottle sitting on the table at all times just to act like a guard. Turn you back one minute and they are up there grabbing food. Scout actually took off with a half a chicken breast one night and growled and sounded like the biggest bear around when I tried to take it from her.

I've started feeding the kitties a few treats in the sunroom and then shutting them in there while we eat. Nice and peaceful that way.

I almost always eat at the coffee table and Chuck lies on my lap (I sit on the floor). Every once in a while I get a good hard hard bumpie in the guts, as in, "I am still here!!!!!"

He turns up his nose at everything I give him people foodwise. Might eat 2-3 TINY bites of chicken or turkey. But mostly just wants to see what you have!
