Grandpa Ripley and me

I had to share this picture. Ripley had been in my lap like that for quite a while but only started to move when Richard grabbed the camera. He likes to sit in my lap on his rump like this.

Please excuse my flat hair. It was windy and rainy and I had been out all evening looking for new curtains for the bedroom - that window behind me specifically.
PS - can anyone tell I've lost a lot of weight? :D ;)

Lori, you look wonderful! I noticed immediately that you lost weight and was going to comment on it before you even mentioned it. Congrats on a hard job done well.

Even before you mentioned it, I noticed the weight loss right away in your face and then in your overall appearance. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! I know it isn't easy. I'm so proud of you. You just glow in that picture. You are such a pretty girl. :D

Sorry Ripley, I didn't mean to forget about you there fella. That picture is just too darn adorable the way he is sitting with you. He looks so content just sitting there on his rump. :D Cute, cute, CUTE!!!

You are very pretty and definitely don’t need to loose any more weight.
I remember you with blond hair, but the dark hair looks great on you as well.

Ripley must have been sleepy or he’s become very loving. None of my cats will let me hold them like that without wiggling away, or in Phoenix ‘s case scratching and biting.

Auggie - Ripley has become very lovable lately. He's 14 years old now and has really mellowed out. He comes to my side of the bed every morning and taps my shoulder to wake me up. Yesterday I was sleeping on my side so he started pawing my hair and it was almost like he was brushing it. :)

You guys are the best! I was feeling a little down today and you all have made me feel so much better!

Christa - I've lost 75.5 pounds now. I'd love to make it an even 100. I still have a lot around the middle to lose. I saw my doctor this week and he thought it was a reasonable goal.

I decided to darken my hair a couple of months ago. It has a reddish tint to it. I like it but it's really lightened up from all the old blonde highlights so I bet it will get brassy looking the more I'm outside in the sun.

You look AMAZING!!!!! The last time I saw a picture of you, you had blonde hair and I thought that was all that changed. I thought you were very pretty anyway (low self-esteem?? Why for? ;) ), but WOW!!! You look AMAZING, sweetie!!!

BTW, the hair, is your color, VERY nice. I brings out a lovely skin tone/color.
