I usually stay out of the threads that are like this as I get all choked up about all the homeless pups out there but it's a slow day & I was searching and I fell in love and felt I had to share. Besides I searched & the last thread like this in dog breeds was back in 2005, figured it'd be nice to start a new one, I know a lot of us love these threads.

Naomi got adopted! The dear sweet little otterhound mix in the no-kill shelter in TN got a forever home. I even e-mailed them to make sure. After almost 3 years of being there. Good for her. Guess I won't be making any trips to TN in a year.

I like to torture myself by looking at rescues near me. I can't have any more doggies until I move out and maybe not even then if I am renting :(

CHAMP is truly a dog to be rescued. He has spent most of his life unattended to in a backyard on a chain. For this reason he has had little socialization except an occasional child to pet him through the fence. Some good samaritans convinced his people to place him up for adoption and that is how he came to be with us. He loves to be groomed, enjoys getting petted and talks to you like most of these breeds do. He cannot go to a home with children and he need some experienced with his breeds. Champ is protective of his food and toys and will need continued training in this area. He is ok around other dogs but will not make a good dog park dog. He is very loving and companion oriented but having virtually no life up to this point will need a firm and compassionate person to help him learn how to be a pet. Are you that person? My adoption fee is $150.00 and includes adoption supplies.

Weirdest thing, I e-mailed about her today to see if I could get her pulled by a Golden Rescue and they said they were not a kennel but a rescue with foster homes. They were going to e-mail me back with some info on her though.
