The original story (http://www.dailynebraskan.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2006/03/23/442229c0396f0)
A friend of ours sent us just this link to an article about an Omaha, Nebraska woman, Rivkah Sass, who was named "Librarian of the Year." She's the director of the public library there. As our friend is not from Nebraska, nor is he a librarian, I was several paragraphs into the article before I figured out why he sent it!
Sass related to me the most humbling response she received when explaining her new title as "librarian of the year'' to the 7-year-old daughter of a friend. The girl exclaimed excitedly that the title must be similar to being "dog of the day'' on that cute Web site for pets, www.dogoftheday.com.
