View Full Version : Update on Dixie (GOOD NEWS)!

Dixie had more blood draw yesterday (Monday) and the vet told me this morning that the white blood count is almost normal. It came down from 48% to 6%! Apparently we will never know why they were high for sure but deworming her may of helped. Now we can get the growth in her mouth removed next week as originally planned.

BTW... he checked her over again yesterday and had a dog dentist onsite who found that Dixie has an extra tooth right near the lump. He thinks it grew as a result of the extra tooth and that it isn't anything to worry about. Both the lump and the extra tooth will be coming out. They will biopsy the lump as a precaution but he feels it will be benign.

Thanks for the prayers and support! I'll keep everyone updated on her progress after surgery on the 27th.

Thanks for the prayers everyone! They mean a lot to us! Dixie came through her surgery with flying colors. She is a bit sore and out of it from the anethesia still but was able to eat soft food this morning. She wants me next to her even more than normal which I am all too happy to oblige her in! ;)

The vet removed an extra tooth she had along with the lump on the roof of her mouth. She has 8 stitches that will disolve over time. We sent the lump out to be biopsied and they won't have the results of that until the end of the week or beginning of next. The vet wouldn't say for sure what he thought of it so I have to play the waiting game (something I'm not very good at). :(

I'll post the results when we get them.
