I had just finished watching March of the Penguins and I guess Riley decided she really didn't enjoy watching penguins, so she improvised and did her best polar bear impersonation:
(Sorry the pictures are so bad. I only had time to grab my phone, and not the real camera.)
It started off innocent enough watching T.V. and her penguin toy, not in the picture.

Then she made her way and pretended not to be interested in the actual target:

Went in for the quick grab and roll:

When that didn't work, she resorted to crazy shaking:

Which quickly turned into flinging:

And catching of the flung penguin:

However, after an overly excited fling, the penguin managed an escape:

She wasn't happy that I was posting these, so she made sure I wasn't degrading her hunting abilities, and she approved of the post:

Thanks for reading.
No penguins were harmed in the making of this thread. Riley sends her deepest apologies for anyone offended by her actions in the failed penguin hunt.
Also, someone asked in another post what mix Riley was, so rather than bump that one up, I’ll answer here. When we rescued her, the staff of the humane society told us her dad was a blue merle aussie. We’re assuming the other majority is golden retriever with possible shepherd and other blends. She’s a true Heinz 57.
