I have read one website that said *An arabian is only a purebred if he or she is related to Bask.* And when I look at some bloodlines I always see his name somewhere in there. Who is Bask!? Why is he so important?

WOW hes one nice looking horse! He's got some good looking offspring aswell. Bet they sell for a pritty penny.

The only  bask I  know  of  of the  top of my head was imported  I think from poland  around the mid 50's, arabain horses  have been around  for  about 5000 years, and have been bred  and raised by  the ppl of the dessert. While a decent of the polish bask is a much sort  after heritage in horse circles.. i do not think  bask was the original.
It has been years  since  I had anything to do with breeding  horses  so  I am out  of the mix  so to speak  I may be wrong.
