:(
I don't even know what to say...Mo, my guinea pig, died last night. He was lying on the floor of his cage, quite unusual for him, I knew something was wrong. He was barely moving or breathing. I held him close for about 15 minutes until he moved on :( I am so glad I got to be there though, I got to say goodbye and tell him how much I loved him, and I think that helps a lot. The thing that I hate the most is I have no idea why or how he died :( I know he was pretty old, I've had him for 3 years and he was older when I got him - he had been through three previous homes :(
I will never forget the day I first saw him. It was definately love at first sight, as soon as I opened his cage he climbed out and onto my lap! I knew I had to have him!
He was the most loving pig of the three, always coming up to people and wanting some lovin. He LOVED to have his chin and the top of his nose scratched and would sqeal in delight! I will even miss the 3 am wake up calls where he'd bang the water bottle as hard as he could against the cage. Or how he connected my alarm clock with getting fed so he would start to squeal ten minutes before my alarm would even go off. I will miss the way he stood up in his cage begging to be let out, I will miss seeing him and Henry cuddle. And I could keep going on and on, he was such a unique little character! Henry and I will definately miss the big lug :( :( It has been a long day today...I can't stop thinking of him, and I think it has begun to sink in that he really is gone :(
Rest in peace, Mr. Mo, please say hi to Lucky, Ben and Snickers for me!!
