I bought two fish the other day. one of them is a Red Wag Platy(Redneck). the other is a Painted Glassfish(FishFish).

around feeding time the Platy kinda attacks the Glassfish. just pokes him in the side and then goes and eats. why does the Platy do this? the Glassfish isn't being hurt, but should i separate them just incase?

I don't know about those fish, but I do know about mine. I have large aggressive African Cichlids. They "chase" each other sometimes, but no damage is ever done. It sounds like one is showing the other who is dominant. My fish have been together for years with no problems. As long as no one is showing signs of being hurt and the chasing isn't becoming overwhelming I say leave them together.

Why? They are far calmer & nicer then a Red Devil, as a Red Devil will kill the so called king of fear.
