Thanks for the replies. It is sad she died, she was our very first hen. All 3 of her chicks are grown up now, still a little small. They all turned out to be roosters, they're very pretty, too.

Cute picture. I'd love to have chickens one day. My favorite thing growing up was rounding up my uncle's hens when they got to wandering in the neighbor's field.

Yep that's what our chickens do. They like to go across the street into the neighbor's corn feild. :rolleyes:
