I live in Montreal, Canada and Spike is the best pet lizard ever!! He is a Red Nigerian Uromastyx. Spike eats vegetables and lives in an aquarium in my room. His home is very warm ... he has a heating light and a heating pad made for lizards. The bottom of Spike's cage is bird seed and you only need to clean this two or three times a year. Spike does not smell bad or anything ... he only smells like birdseed! Spike doesn't even like to drink water. He gets moisture from the leaves he eats.
Spike loves to cuddle and sleep in your shirt or sleeve or a blanket while you watch TV or work on the computer or homework. Sometimes he is so relaxed you can turn him upside down and he keeps sleeping. Spike is very photogenic - and tolerant - as you can see from the pictures.
