I found Charlie inside my sister-in-law's room one day, and had to rescue him before she got rid of him. I brought him home and to my surprise, mom said I could keep him! I didn't know what kind he was, but after some research, think he is an Eastern Dtella Gecko, and he is very small, so I think he's pretty young. He does not look anything like any of the geckos that are native to North America, but looks exactly like Dtellas I have seen online. And they are native to Australia, so maybe he was someone's pet that escape, I do not know. I've had him for a few weeks now and am still fascinated with how beautiful he is. (Note: I'm really not sure if he is a male or a female, but call him a boy for now.) His color would blend perfectly with tree bark, I think!
When I try to hold him, which isn't very often because I don't want to stress him out, he runs around his cage making it almost impossible to catch him. He is so cute when he runs, his tail goes back and forth like a snake! He is pretty curious, and once I am holding him he is pretty calm again, he is getting used to me as much as I am getting used to him!
