Charlie is a Timneh African Gray parrot, they are a smaller breed than the Congo African Greys, and their colors are somewhat darker. She is the perfect size for us. We got Charlie at the age of one. Her favorite thing to say is "Charlie's a good boy." Then, at three years old we had Charlie DNA sexed and found that he is a she! Then she was really confused as we were trying to teach her to say "Charlie's a good girl" instead of boy. She loves chicken and pizza, almost falls off of her perch when she smells it because she gets excited. Yes, she's a bit spoiled, but she deserves it.
She is such a smart girl, and always learning new things to say and figuring out puzzles or toys we get for her. And her kind can live to be 70 years old, so we are looking forward to many years ahead with our pretty girl. Yes, girl, Charlie! You're good GIRL!
