When we first got him we thought he was a she and called her Lily, but one day I pet sat my friend's umbrella cockatoo, that one was a girl, and when our Willie saw her he fell in love with her and then I knew she was a he, so I changed his name to Willie. He is very attached to me, every day when I come home from work he always calls me from his room and the minute I walk into his room he says "Hello" and "I love you."
He is my special little guy, we also have cockatiels, and parakeet and of course he gets jealous when I play with the other ones. He likes to eat bananas, apples, grapes, Cherrios, and bread. I tried to introduce human food to him and the cockatiels. I think it's important to feed them what they need, a varied diet and not just seeds.
