Polly is special because she's my first bird. She is now well into her teenage years, but I have had her since she was probably under a year old, I m not sure exactly when she was hatched. Polly likes her out of cage time, and finding new things to perch on, or to test for edibility with her beak. She listens when I need someone to talk to, and truly seems to understand.
She is a cheerful bird, and does not squack like a conure, or sing like a canary. She just makes her own cockatiel noises, and has her own language it seems. She may not look like much to you, but to me she is beautiful, and my best friend.
