We adopted Rugby, our ten-year-old, green cheeked Conure, just a few months aafter he turned twop. He is a small bird with a big personality. He is very intelligent and social. He already knew how to say his name when we got him. He has added a few more words to his vocabulary - now says "Hey, Rugby Bird" instead of just Rugby.
He is a very active bird who is eating, playing or grooming himself all day, and when he's tired, he climbs the ladder to his cage and tucks himself into his furry bed and sleeps through the night. His favorite treats are breakfast cereals and fresh fruit. When the sun hits his cage he likes to splash around in his water dish and have a good bath, but often gets to have a shower with Daddy as well. His wings have red and blue feathers, but we must keep them clipped so he doesn't follow Spazz outside and fly away. Very curious he will go to most people, but does not appreciate when people try to put him back down after only a moment, he would prefer a longer visit and much more attention thank you!
