I rescued Big Bird from a pet store where she was dumped off. She was abused, we think by an adult male, because she really doesn't care much for men. She is not a young bird, and so her past was not only a mystery, but a long time. As a consequence, it took me months to gain enough trust in her to come by her.
I can finally scratch her crown and under her wings. She is a wonderful bird. She has never learned to talk, but has her own personality - as each animal does. Every animal is precious and should be treated as if was your child. All mine are spoiled and they love it.
