I was at a Terraristic Exhibition in Budapest, Syma Csarnok. I hoped that I would find a Hermann's Tortoise (Testudo hermanni), because it was always my childhood desire. I was surprised because the tortoise section was too small ... a lot of other reptiles were there, but just very few tortoises, I don't know why. Finally I found Roo. He is unique. Why?
Because he is wearing on his shell my lucky number, and he was born when it was my birthday! :) (Don't worry, the paint doesn't hurt him, it is not toxic, the pet store people did that to tell them apart, I am guessing). He is a very curious tortoise, who wants to explore his little world. He loves sleeping when the sun goes down, and loves dandelions. Sometimes he eats cucumber, carrot, and apple. I think when he was with his breeder, he was giving him natural plants because when the first time he was here, I gave him dandelion and he went crazy when he saw that.
When I introduced him to my guinea pig, he is sniffing him and little bit nibbling Roo's shell But nobody got hurt, don't worry! Roo is not a skittish tortoise, he is not afraid of me at all, even though he is just a baby. :) So now we living here with happiness, my guinea pig, me and Roo: The three musketeers!
