Bert is my gerbil, and he is two years old. They come from deserts originally, and he is good match for the color of desert sand. Bert is just sweet - he can jump higher and farther than you would ever believe. He also likes to dig and he is very funny.
Bert likes to eat salad while sitting on my hand. He doesn't bite me, just nibbles his salad, it is so sweet! Some people think gerbils all bite, and are not fun pets, but they are wrong. Bert is fun, and he makes me smile and he is a great pet for me.
