Finnigan spends several hours a day in an outdoor aviary, so the first sound he learned to reproduce was that of a wild bird, a bob white. Finnigan plays hard, hanging upside down and holding on by only his beak or one foot, and then eats to keep up his energy. He loves fruit. His favorites are mango, watermelon and now peaches!
Finnigan is a big personality in a little package. He likes to be asked to step up rather than told, and if he isn't in the mood he gently grabs your finger and pushes it away. When I pick up my kitty and cuddle her, he says 'kiss kiss' and then makes a kissing noise, and when I'm eating something that looks good he says 'want some!' He hears my husband call me, and now whenever he wants something he says "hey Susie!." He's starting to learn colors, and when I say 'which is purple' he'll grab the purple bead in his beak, looking very proud of himself. But he also likes to cuddle, especially in the evening before bedtime, and if I forget to rub his head he'll gently grab my finger with his foot.
