This is my adorable bird Basil. We got Basil several years ago. We walked into the pret store and looked at the cockatiels. We found one that I liked and played with it for a little. When we got a helper from the store to come talk to us she picked up the bird and it flew out of her hands and started bleeding! She said it would be fine but we did'nt want something to happen to him when we got home. So we kept looking. Shortly after a lady came in and said to one of the helpers,"were are my babies?" We were like,"what kind of babies?" she said baby cockatiels. She then took us in the back and I immediately fell in love with one! (That was Basil!)
Basil, one day, decided he was going to fly away from us. He was gone for two days but we luckily got him back, which doesn't really happen normally. Durning those two days, we were all so heartbroken that we lost Basil, so we decided to go get another one. Fortunately the two birds decided they would get along fine, and are now best buddies and inseperable. His name is Clipper. He likes to try and boss Basil around, but Basil still loves him all as much! Basil is such a sweetheart, he is now eight years old and loves to cuddle.
